    A true American classic. Even our small locos have a deep voice! In my oppinion, a steam locomotive is happiest when doing what they are designed to do. They are also music on steel wheels! You can have a little fun on a steam whistle, but on diesle all u can do is push a button and get one tone.

    Steam locomotives are more human, like Ollie Johnston said.
    The panting of Steam locomotives says sort off “I´m working, I´m working” or “Yes, sir! Yes, sir!”
    Diesels just whines and doesn´t make any musical harmony at all.
