    Great video. I’ve got a Wartburg 353 in my workshop, it had a engine rebuild 15 years ago but has not been started since(Maybe I should do someting with it). I personaly prefer the two stroke models, I recon that the vw engine was a major step backward, but thats only how I personaly feel about it.

    Yes, I think the 311/312 are the nicest looking Wartburgs. But the 353 is perhaps a more original design than the 311/312 American 50′s look. And it should be an improvement on the older models, an evolution of the 311/312.

    i owned a Wartburg Knight from New in 1966 thru to 1973. It was a great car and never let me down once. James Howard, Luton UK Oct 2008

    My Grandfather was a very first(happy) owner of Wartburg 353 in Poland and that was in 1967 or 1968 I not sure ;-)
