What do you think the Likely outcome of this Test Match is going to be?

SA vs England, Predictions please?

1) England require another 353 runs with 9 wickets left on Day 5. Can they do it? Or will the SA bowlers be successful in restricting them?

2) Who is your Man of the Match for this Test? My pick would be Graeme Swann. He performed brilliantly with both the bat and the ball for his team.

I think it could be very interesting. I do not think England can chase that score down on this wicket in a day so I will rule out them winning but they do have a lot of good batsman and so I think they will probably survive until the end of the day. I think the decision made by Andrew Strauss at the toss was poor and I think conditions have certainly favoured South Africa over the test match. I anticipate a really close fought series as I think these two sides are pretty equal and England are on a high after winning the Ashes.

Man of the Match definitely should be Swann because of his performances with bat and ball. However if South Africa do win the test he may not get it because they tend to go with someone from the winning team especially if Harris picks up some wickets today.

  6. SA bowlers will skittle England (although I don’t want that to happen as it increases the chances of SA knocking India off No.1 spot).

Morkel looked threatening and should continue to do so, alongside Paul Harris, who had some luck in his spells in the 1st innings (notably Ian Bell’s dismissal).

Did ya see Amla’s dismissal as well? Nasser said that he was lucky to have gotten a boundary a few deliveries before to bring it up else he would’ve been dismissed in the 90s by an unplayable delivery. His, Smith’s and Prince’s dismissals should tell us enough about the outcome of the match.

MOTM: If Harris does not perform with the ball today, it will most definitely be Swann.

  11. 1) Seeing the current situation (England 3 down), SA seem favorites. But I think England can still draw it as they have a long batting order.

    2) Boucher for me although he may not get it. If you inspect closely, both of his inns have very much helped SA get into a comfortable position.
