How might a homeless boy in Eire between the ages of 13-16 go about acheiving citezenship and into a school?

If he has no papers, no records, nothing.
What should he do?

The first thing he needs to do is either present himself at a police station or contact Social Services so that they can house him, appoint a guardian & try to sort his situation out.

You could also try contacting the Irish Refugee Council:

He’s not going to be given citizenship because he has no papers, he will need to go through the same process of naturalisation as everyone else – if he’s not from the EU, they will need to establish what country he’s from but you would really need to speak to a solicitor specialising in immigration to get advice on what to do, especially if he’s a refugee & needs to put in an application for asylum.

  1. He shouldnt have left his own country and sneaked into Ireland

  2. wait for Sen. Obama to be elected President and then pretend he’s been here forever.

  3. I’d advise him to get into contact with the authorities. Being homeless and on the streets is really unsafe. I’m not sure of the technical ways to go about gaining citizenship…
