Gipsy Kings Hotel California 1990

This is a video I found of the Gipsy Kings singing Hotel California,their Spanish/gipsy version of it.It looks like it was cut from the US tour dvd from 1991,…The song was used in The Big Lebowski but for some reason a lot of people think it was produced for that movie,there is about 9-10 years difference in when they sang the song in Californis for their first concert in Hollywood in 1990,anyway,the song is long 5:45,so I had to do a little editing of a minute to get it to my limit of space of 100mb,it is still good.

    For some reason? There’s a great reason why people think this was made for the movie. It’s an immaculate choice for Jesus’s introduction.

    He’s a child predator whose song is the Eagle’s “Hotel California.” The Dude hates the Eagles. For that moment, it really seems as if it was recreated specifically for the movie.

    Did you know that the Eagles were retired when the GKs recorded this,it is actually the reason that when Freezes over ever happened,and they recorded their own song with Spanish guitars and a little overhaul with a spanish flavor,I like both,they are all great,it isn’t a contest,it is just great music…thanks for your input

    I am sorry my friend, Eagles are the original. They wrote it and recorded it in 1977, 13 years before the Gypsy Kings did this awesome cover. Check out the Eagles remake from “Hell Freezes Over”
