Wales is a free nation, it is just part of the UK like Texas is part of the US. I think most Texans would be very insulted if you said they weren’t free, the same is true for most Welsh people.
If a majoirty of people who live in Wales wanted to be independent then it would happen. I’ve never heard of any Welsh national group who are calling for violence. Such a thing would be rejected by the vast majority of Welsh people anyway.

The British Governement cannot ‘return’ anything without the people’s concent. Not only that, it would go against Article 3.1 of the Constitution of Ireland for NI to become part of the Republic unless a majority of people in NI wanted it.

I know there are nine counties in Ulster. My point is that the majority of people in the counties of Ulster which are in the Republic want to remain in the Republic and the majoirty of people in six counties of Northern Ireland want to be part of the UK.

I think you mean the ‘British Government of 1927 wouldn’t like that.’ The current British government and the people living in Great Britain today really don’t care about Northern Ireland’s border.
However, the majority of people in Northern Ireland are happy with where the border is, as are (I would guess) the people who live in the counties of Ulster which are within the Republic.
In the end, it is the people of Ulster who should decide where the border is.
