What are recommended places to visit and do in Ireland for two 20year-old girls?
My cousin and I are spending 2 weeks in the UK and while we’re spending most of it in London we’re hoping to travel for a bit in Ireland too. We’re both 20 and looking for a good time, meaning somewhere with good pubs and with decent younger scene but also somewhere beautiful where we can explore the countryside, maybe a little less touristy, and where we can truly experience Ireland. We’re looking to both cities but maybe a little more interested in smaller towns. Any suggestions?
Go to Dublin Ireland. They have a good club/bar scene. There countryside is nice, to be honest it isn’t hard to find it in Ireland.
Ireland has a good website and tourism center.

Good luck and have fun.

Galway’s your best best.
And by the way, the Republic of Ireland is NOT in the UK and has not been since 1921.

Dublin, Cork, Wexford town all have great night life, great places to eat, good shopping, lovely parks in Cork.

Go to Galway. Its gorgeous and the west is more country-like than say Dublin.
Doolin would be perfect to experience the country side. Its not as busy as Galway city and the scenery is breathtaking!

I wouldn’t go to Dublin to be honest….too many tourist there and it isn’t the real Ireland. I’d recommend either Galway or Cork….both nice sized cities, safe, lovely people, amazing social scene and amazing country sides really close by. Hope you enjoy yourself!

I would recommend Derry City which is in northern ireland, and theres cheap flights to the city of derry airport daily, not much countryside around though but because its a city although it has a fantastic bus service to pretty much anywhere, if you really want small town with bars and clubs there a wee place called maghera, as far as i know it only has 1 hotel, but theres lots of bars and very good nightclub, as tourists your pretty much better off staying in the north of ireland as they still use sterling money, republic of ireland has got very expensive since they joined the euro especially for alcohol and chocolate bars…:D
