    Obama is traced in our family through Fulmouth Kearny who married a Holloway. The Holloways of that line were here almost from the beginning of this country. It is fascinating to trace ones family tree.

    He doesn’t need to appeal to the IA voters. He already won. Where in the Irish law does it say he is not Irish? The Irish are already claiming him, they love him in Northern and Southern Ireland.

    He probably will up sell that to appeal to the irish american voters. Although like the irish americans he isnt an irish citizen and cant apply for an Irish passport as it only goes to your grandparents and cuts off after that. In Irish law hes not irish. But Kenyan and American. But he can be proud of where his blood is from, be it England , Scottish royalty, Irish, American Arabic and Kenyan. Hes one mixed up fellow with all that heritage in there. No one bloodline is the dominent one.

    He is an American. But as I was saying if he wants to celebrate his Irish roots let him. I don’t see the problem. Plus doesn’t he have a dual citizenship from Ireland, if he does, that’s the even bigger reason for him to celebrate his Irish roots.

    Actually they have traced him to the royal line of King William the I of Scotland as well so he’s one mixed up American with Arabic, Kenyan, Scottish, English and Irish roots too. Just goes to show though no matter who claims him the right wing nuts in the south hate him. I wouldnt say he’s exclusivly Irish or anything else for that matter. An American Kenyan.

    What is the big deal? I dont get it. I have one 3xgreat grandparent from Ireland…the same as B.Obama. Culturally I am German from Russia and German direct from Germany (28 out of 32 3 greats) The other four are like a George Thouroughgood song…1 Scot, 1 Limey, 1 Erin and a Dane. Don’t really care about the actually blood factors….its the culture that counts!!!

    Nobody has problems admitting that they are American. If people have Irish blood. Let them embrace part of their culture, part of their heritage. Why is it so important to you to deny nativity other than for the cause of dispossession, colonization and genocide.
