What is the name of the irish ghettos when they came to america?

I think it started with a c, but i cant remember. They were segregated communities for the Irish.

Well. The word slum in always used, I suppose. There’s no word for it like, no Irish word, Gaelic word for slum that you’re lookin for. And don’t you like how that black guy that answered first thinks that only black people live in ghettos. That’s funny, I coulda sworn the word came from where they made the jews live.
