i want to teach in college or high school in republic Ireland or in Spain what education qualification needed?

i am from India i would love to explore my teaching skills out of my comfort zone(my country) and learn about different ways of teaching and understanding students, right now I am studying in my final year of bachelor in science(Zoology) and then i’ll be doing my masters and then would love to have bachelor of education degree what are the other requirement if i want to teach in different countries like republic Ireland or in Spain?????? help

Your best bet would be to find a private international school in either of those countries. The reason is that they often accept people who do not have teaching credentials in that particular country but who are otherwise qualified. There are quite a few of these types of schools in Europe.

I have a new UK credit card and want to do a balance transfer from my Republic of Ireland Credit Card. Poss?

Want to do a balance transfer from my Republic of Ireland credit card to my UK credit card. Lloyds say it’s not possible. It should be as I’ve done it in the past the other way around. Is it possible? With an alternative credit card provider perhaps?

If there was a rule that balance transfers cannot be done between countries I would understand it. But nobody can answer that for me definitively. Surely by definition credit cards are international?

Ask Lloyds WHY it’s not possible and get them to quote chapter and verse.

USA Holiday – What is cheapest option for accommodation and travel between cities?

I am planning a trip to the US. I am a student and have a tight budget. What are the cheapest accommodation options and also the cheapest ways to travel between cities?

Other answers are correct and hostels are not as common or usually as good in the USA as in Europe, but they do exist and this is an example:

http://www.indiahousehostel.com/

There are low cost hotels and motels in most places. Check sites like TripAdviser for guest ratings & comments.

Consider joining SERVAS, which offers vetted local contacts in many places and can be an alternative to staying in hostels/hotels:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Servas_Open_Doors

Both Greyhound (bus) and AmTrak (train) offer passes.Greyhoundd goes to many more locations than AmTrak, but the bus is not a comfortable way to travel long distances so plan your trip in segments:

Citizens of about 35 countries can travel to the USA for up to 90 days at a time as a tourist or for some business purposes by registering for ESTA > before < their trip begins. The cost is US$14, which is similar to the fee for Australian ETA program.

Registering is accomplished online, you don’t need the details of your trip, and the confirmation is valid for multiple trips to the USA over two (2) years so don’t wait until the last minute.

Print the confirmation – or at least record the number – and keep the information with your passport. Having a return or onward ticket leaving North America is a requirement, so have a copy of your airline itinerary at passport control.

Check with your health insurance to find out if it covers you in the USA. If yes then take proof of coverage with you. If no or not sure then get trip medical insurance, which is cheap and sold by airlines & travel agents. The USA has wonderful medical care but it isn’t free or even cheap. Please do not skimp on this as an otherwise-silly accident could turn into a crisis if you don’t have medical insurance.

If you are planning a long visit then DON’T schedule your departure day for the 90th day (any part of a day in the USA counts as a whole day, so if you arrive at 23:59h on the 1st and leave at 00:01h on the 10th it is 10 days in the USA). Schedule your departure not later than the 88th day as there are no (zero) provisions in the Visa Waiver Program for someone to voluntarily extend their stay. If you miss your flight due to something Immigration might consider avoidable (ex. flat tire on the way to the airport) they may ban you from using the VWP in the future.

Can I travel to Republic of Ireland with a Tier 2 UK Visa ?

I have a Tier 2 (Skilled immigrant) UK Visa, valid until 2014;
I currently live (and work) in London and I’d like to visit a few parts of Republic of Ireland on holiday;
Do I need to obtain an Irish Visa or is the UK Visa I have enough ?
Thanks !

Your UK visa does not give you travel rights in the Republic of Ireland. Whether you need to obtain an Irish visa prior to travel depends on your (unknown) nationality. You will need a visa if your country is not listed here:
http://www.dfa.ie/home/index.aspx?id=8777 ..

If required it must be applied for through the Visa Office of the Irish Embassy in London.

Why is it called Uk and Ireland as this must refer to Republic of Ireland only ?

I mean should it not be UK and Republic of Ireland on Yahoo. ?
Zayed again is unable to even attempt to answer the question. He seems to think he has to answer the person above him. !Lost as usual .
Mister Bombastic
Setting out to get thumbs down in every answer suggests you are a little lacking in intelligence.

I cant seem to find an irish yahoo.

But you are right, they should include the republic in the title.

Its an american company, so ignorant, ive actually had people that the uk and southern island were one country ,(forign of course)

Do you have worries about the possible dangers of Northern Ireland vs Republic of Ireland?

Northern Ireland are playing against the Republic in May.

What would the security be like for this game?

there wouldn’t be any securities, thats how dangerous it would be, nah only kidding, it isn’t really a competitive match so wouldn’t take notice of it

Why can citizens of the Republic of Ireland apply for benefits off of the British Government?

On the income support and housing benefits form it says for citizens of the UK or Republic of Ireland. I just don’t get why a country that left the UK to form it’s own independent system should still have the privilage of the British taxpayers money. Surely they should have their own benefits system.

We do have our own benefits system.

This works the other way round too. British citizens can claim in the Republic of Ireland.

It is unlikely and Irish citizen would be claiming from Britain, because the benefits we get here in Ireland are much higher (which is something that needs to be addressed, because the dole, for example, is MUCH too high)

Why does the Oxford Dictionary refer to Northern Ireland as a province?

I’ve been looking at how the Oxford Dictionary define the UK, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as I’ve been having a debate with someone over Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland being separate countries.

Any, it just defines the UK as a country consisting of the four regions. It defines England and Scotland as countries that form part of the UK, it defines Wales as principality (a state ruled by a Prince) and finally it defines Northern Ireland as a province.

Now, I just don’t get why they define England, Scotland and and depending on the definition of state used, Wales as countries, but define Northern Ireland as a province.

Can anyone explain this to me?

A province is defined as an area of a country situated away from the capital or national cultural centre , a country governed as an administrative or political unit of a country or empire and administered as a self contained unit . The people of Northern Ireland vote for their own assembly , and these politicians govern the province , but should social or political stability breakdown, London can impose direct rule until order , or stability is restored .
Edward 1st conquered Wales and made it part of England under his son as Prince of Wales 1295 .
England and Wales were united with Scotland in 1707 and became Great Britain , 1801 Great Britain and Ireland became the United Kingdom .
In 1922 the Irish Republic came into existence and was known as the Irish Free State and comprised 26 counties , the six northern counties remained as part of the United Kingdom.

How did Ireland get the money to build cities and highways and become a modern country?

I’ve always thought of Ireland as really poor and impoverished with nothing but rolling green fields with beautiful countryside and farmlands , but from looking on google earth boy was I wrong O_o how did you get the money and build everything and so fast?

We have had motorways around Dublin for years and years, I think the first motorway from Dublin to Belfast, the M1 was built in 1961! Our more recent national network of motorways (highways) were funded by the European Union I Think! I also notice that motorways can be built quite fast, I think that is because they build them in sections and they will have different groups working on different sections and then they just join them up to form a city to city Motorway (or Highway as you call them!) A lot of the big fancy architecture you may have seen in Dublin was built by the British when Ireland was a part of the United Kingdom! During the Celtic Tiger A lot of Multi National Companies like Google for instance invested in Ireland and so built fancy glass office buildings in Dublin and elsewhere. Businesses are attracted to Ireland because of our low corporate tax rate. One thing that is bad in Ireland though is the public transport, it virtually doesn’t exist in the country, and in the city they just have bus services, in Dublin they have a tram, but they don’t evem have a subway system! There are cities in Scotland that have subway systems yet Dublin doesn’t have one, it’s just Insane!!!! And Dublin Airport has more passenger traffic than Manchester Airport, yet Dublin has two terminals and Manchester has three, yup it’s that bad! In my opinion Dublin is the only real proper city in Ireland, the other cities in my eyes are more like large towns even though they have designated city status!

How do I find jobs in France with accommodation included?

I’m looking for a job in France, preferably with accommodation included. I’ve found a good website for jobs in ski resorts, but I don’t really care for skiing, so I was looking for a simliar one for general jobs, that just lists jobs you can apply for with English companies in Froggy. Ta.

Try hostel jobs. You may not get payed though although free accommodation and food is often included.
