On the income support and housing benefits form it says for citizens of the UK or Republic of Ireland. I just don’t get why a country that left the UK to form it’s own independent system should still have the privilage of the British taxpayers money. Surely they should have their own benefits system.
We do have our own benefits system.
This works the other way round too. British citizens can claim in the Republic of Ireland.
It is unlikely and Irish citizen would be claiming from Britain, because the benefits we get here in Ireland are much higher (which is something that needs to be addressed, because the dole, for example, is MUCH too high)

I’ve been looking at how the Oxford Dictionary define the UK, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as I’ve been having a debate with someone over Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland being separate countries.
Any, it just defines the UK as a country consisting of the four regions. It defines England and Scotland as countries that form part of the UK, it defines Wales as principality (a state ruled by a Prince) and finally it defines Northern Ireland as a province.
Now, I just don’t get why they define England, Scotland and and depending on the definition of state used, Wales as countries, but define Northern Ireland as a province.
Can anyone explain this to me?
A province is defined as an area of a country situated away from the capital or national cultural centre , a country governed as an administrative or political unit of a country or empire and administered as a self contained unit . The people of Northern Ireland vote for their own assembly , and these politicians govern the province , but should social or political stability breakdown, London can impose direct rule until order , or stability is restored .
Edward 1st conquered Wales and made it part of England under his son as Prince of Wales 1295 .
England and Wales were united with Scotland in 1707 and became Great Britain , 1801 Great Britain and Ireland became the United Kingdom .
In 1922 the Irish Republic came into existence and was known as the Irish Free State and comprised 26 counties , the six northern counties remained as part of the United Kingdom.

I’ve always thought of Ireland as really poor and impoverished with nothing but rolling green fields with beautiful countryside and farmlands , but from looking on google earth boy was I wrong O_o how did you get the money and build everything and so fast?
We have had motorways around Dublin for years and years, I think the first motorway from Dublin to Belfast, the M1 was built in 1961! Our more recent national network of motorways (highways) were funded by the European Union I Think! I also notice that motorways can be built quite fast, I think that is because they build them in sections and they will have different groups working on different sections and then they just join them up to form a city to city Motorway (or Highway as you call them!) A lot of the big fancy architecture you may have seen in Dublin was built by the British when Ireland was a part of the United Kingdom! During the Celtic Tiger A lot of Multi National Companies like Google for instance invested in Ireland and so built fancy glass office buildings in Dublin and elsewhere. Businesses are attracted to Ireland because of our low corporate tax rate. One thing that is bad in Ireland though is the public transport, it virtually doesn’t exist in the country, and in the city they just have bus services, in Dublin they have a tram, but they don’t evem have a subway system! There are cities in Scotland that have subway systems yet Dublin doesn’t have one, it’s just Insane!!!! And Dublin Airport has more passenger traffic than Manchester Airport, yet Dublin has two terminals and Manchester has three, yup it’s that bad! In my opinion Dublin is the only real proper city in Ireland, the other cities in my eyes are more like large towns even though they have designated city status!

I’m looking for a job in France, preferably with accommodation included. I’ve found a good website for jobs in ski resorts, but I don’t really care for skiing, so I was looking for a simliar one for general jobs, that just lists jobs you can apply for with English companies in Froggy. Ta.
Try hostel jobs. You may not get payed though although free accommodation and food is often included.

My husband and I are heading to NYC for the holiday season. We were looking for some hotels that embrace the Christmas spirit either internally or have great views of something Christmasy (ie: Christmas tree, lights, display, skating rink). We tried to look for a place that had views of the Rockefeller Center Tree, but it looks like there is nothing that has this view. Please help! Thank you.
These are the nice and cheap hotel to stay in NYC..
= Chelsea Savoy Hotel
One of the best bargains at this well-located Chelsea hotel is the quad room, which accommodates up to four guests for $155-375 a night.
= Colonial House Inn
Courtesy of the Colonial Inn
Housed in an 1850s townhouse, the Colonial House Inn welcomes both gay & straight visitors. Continental breakfast, a rooftop patio and an internet kiosk are available for guest use.
= Cosmopolitan Hotel-Tribeca
All rooms at this downtown New York City hotel offer cable tv and private baths.

I am stay at bluegreen at atlantic palace, for my room they allow a max 4 people and I am planning on bring 5 maybe 6 people with me. I was wondering how strict hotels in AC are or they even bother to check. I’ve done this plenty of time with my family but I never been to AC so I don’t know.
Don’t even think about trying this in New Jersey. You’d actually be breaking the law since room occupancies are set as fire codes. I have seen on a few occasions the police called and the occupants evicted with no refund.

I am looking for hotels at 130 or lower in the Boston area that are near a metro rail that are in decent areas? Thanks.
Most Boston hotels are near the T, but $130 is tough. Dates are important. Try Hotwire or Priceline.

I am planning a fall vacation and trying to decide if I need to stay right on the disney resort, or if it would be cheaper to stay in an outlying hotel. But I definately want to be able to see the fireworks, I have heard that they do them every night, is that true? Any recommendations for good hotels or money savings would be greatly appreciated!!
I truly love Disney and feel that is is a different experience staying inside rather than outside of Disney. There are so many perks to staying inside and Disney does offer a wide range of prices to fit in any budget. The magic Kingdom fireworks can be seen from the Contemporary Resort, The Polynesian Resort or the grand Floridian and they are not shown every night in the fall. The fireworks in Epcot are still every night and can be seen at the Boardwalk or the Beach Club. There are wonderful restaurants and areas of these resorts that you can go see the fireworks without staying at the particular resort. In the fall Disney is offering their dining plan free! I love planning "magical" Disney vacations and would love to help you some more. I am a Authorized Disney Vacation Planner, if you would like some prices for different resorts please email me and I would be more than happy to let you know what specials are out. We also do custom Disney Itineraries for all our client complimentary!

I have booked a hotel for a period of 4 days. hotels generally ask for counter deposit. What will be that amount? My hotel is based in kualalumpur.
It depends on the hotel policy. It is better to call the hotel and ask them about this. As usual the part of the amount they want in advance is enough to cover your first night in the hotel! So it is better to call the hotel and make it clear! Good luck!
