can i drive in republic of ireland if i have learner permit from uk?
The answer is NO. Even an Irish driver with a learners permit has to have an experienced driver, sitting beside him in the passenger seat at all times.

No, you can’t! You’re not covered by insurance here.

It depends what you’re driving ..you can’t drive a car without a qualified driver beside you..but you can… drive an ass and cart to the creamery if you’re a farmer..or….you can drive a golfball off the first tee if you’re a golfer..or..you can drive your friends crazy by doing Riverdance ..etc etc…enjoy..

The best thing is to check with your insurance company. If you are on holiday here and are going to be accompanied by an adult who has passed their test (as all UK learner drivers have to be by law) then you may be covered I’m not sure.
UK insurance is valid in the Republic of Ireland for holidaymakers/visitors but if you live here permanently your insurance would be invalid as you no longer have a UK address and you must swap to an Irish insurer.
