    I was 6 at the time and it breaks my heart i wasn’t old enough to remember the whole thing, i can remember been allowed to stay up late for the dutch game and can clearly remember everything about quinny’s goal. My fav memory is McLoughlin’s equaliser against the north in 93 i absolutely balled my eyes out, will never forget it, awesome memories

    the old man at 3.37 gets me everytime.nearly 20 yrs later hes probably not with us but ill remember him for a long time to come.i was only 4 at the time and some of my earliest memories are from italia 90 when in the pub hyper on club orange.hope we qualify for next yr so we can all lose the plot for a month!!!

    Whats the population of Italy compared to Ireland? you stupid 60 million compared to 6 million for the island of Ireland, we also have GAA in Ireland which alot of people play which reduces the playing population for rugby and football. If you’re really 48 then you’re sad, taking away from Ireland’s world cup campaign, have you got nothing better to do?. I’d actually be happy if Italy could do well at rugby.

    i’m french and my dad was at the game vs romania, in the middle of the irish crowd.He told me about the incredible fever and passion of all that crazy fans, amazing adventure for this country. respect and i really hope to see the irish team in south africa, maybe for another glorious adventure ?
